COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ruikt caramel, zoet fruit, mout. Smaakt zoetig, maar ook iets bitter, fruitig.

Aromas of nuts, figs, prunes, plums, grains, some soap, sweets, malts, hay, sweet prune tone and slight hint of liquorice wood. Flavours of plum, toast, bitters, spices, nuts, malts, grains, hint of red vinous fruit, some chalk, dried leaves, slightest hint of something rubber ish, hay, light prunes and some sweets but quickly overtaken by a good bitterness. Aftertaste is a mix of sweet dark fruit tones, toast, light chalk, malts, some dried leaves and bitters. Low to medium carbo, creamy mourhfeel, good medium bodied and a creamy texture. Nice beer, in balance and refreshing.

Bottle from a Frankfurt airport duty free shop. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma is malty with a little spicy hop. Med body. It’s starting like a cola flavor - develops a slight hint of chocolate, and some bitter herb. It’s malty, but not sweet. Finishes towards dry and bitter for me. Tasty!

Clear dark brown, beige head. Most striking in this bock is the vegetables present on its taste. Besides that some caramel roasted malts. Nice bock.

500ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a finger and a half of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits and grass with hints of caramel. Taste is a grassy hop bitterness with a fruity malt sweetness. Flavors are well balanced making this a well done brew for the style and recommended.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Bottle from Wasana’s, Idar-Oberstein, Germany!
Pours dark amber colored with small creamy head. Smells malty with dark fruits. Starts malty-sweer with some brown sugar and plum. The middle part is very malty-fruity with some sweet brown sugar. Goes into a sugary finish with lots of dark fruits (especially plum)! Very great dark bock!!!
