COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours dark amber colored with small creamy head. Smells malty with dark fruits. Starts malty-sweer with some brown sugar and plum. The middle part is very malty-fruity with some sweet brown sugar. Goes into a sugary finish with lots of dark fruits (especially plum)! Very great dark bock!!!

500 bottle, poured into a snifter. ABV 7.2% Deep mahogany colour with ruvy shades. Two fingers of tan head, average retention. Aromas of caramel, coffee, roasted malts, chocolate. Taste follows the aroma, only now the chocolate and coffee flavour are more pronounced and the caramel lingers on the background. Mildly sweet and very drinkable. Full body, good amount of carbonation, maybe a bit light. Oily on the palate. NIce bock, the alcohol not traceable except for the warming feeling that it gives. Nithing extra ordinary but an honest one.

Clear dark ruby with small light brown foam head lacing to glass. Weak aroma, caramel mostly. Taste is caramel dominated with liitle barley, very little bitterness. Aftertaste is short. (Velp 201302)

Awww yeahhhhh dunkler bock bitches. Nose of sweet brown bread light chocolate and a touch of noble hops. Pours brown with a tan head. Flavor of toasted sweet brown bread light chocolate a touch fruity and a bit of noble hops. Soft balanced sweetness with a clean finish. Nice beer that would score higher had it been an american made barrel aged sour ale or rare offering.

Delicious Bock with a nice malty character. Has a chocolatey and chewy taste to it, and a ruby red colour. I also like the beige head.

Creamy bubbly off white head over a dark copper, clean body. Aroma of cinnamon, cookies, rustic bready malts, brown sugar, pepper and vanilla. Really nice. Taste can’t quite keep up the pace, but still a nice spicy body. Quite dry, light bitter and rough sugars in the back. Bit too much carbonation maybe, because it’s not as smooth and rich as I hoped. Great unique cookie aroma, tast eis just an okay bock. (50cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

Gorgeous melanoidin underpinning to this rich amber brew with a caramel froth top. Winter spice gum drop nose titillates the nostrils. Aged melanoidin and brown licorice flavor with a hint of red licorice as well. Mildly grainy and spicy with some birch sap and wintergreen mixed. Mellowed and wonderfully complex. Smoothly satisfying.

Thanks to bierkrug fro the recommendation. This tasty dunkelbock boured a nice deep brown with beige one finger head. Nice and roasty flavor, snooth on the palate with just a touch of bitterness. I’m likin’ it!

Test vom 28.2.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,8,9,13,9 - 9,20
