1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
500ml brown bottle from off licence in Brighton. I thought I had an infected bottle, but looking through the reviews it seems other people are experiencing the same as me in both cask and bottle - bone dry, tart, low condition or flat, few pleasant flavours. One or two people report a delicate and pleasant beer, but for most the beer is slightly off. I suspect an infection in the brewery - and checking reviews for other beers, this is perhaps the case.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Deep copper ale with a fairly steady creamy white head. Nose is buttery, with a touch of sweet caramel and some light peachy fruit. Initially the taste is roasty and caramel, but soon gives way to a bitter hop with some nice dryness to it. Finish is dry, bitter with a nice smattering of maltiness. Quite standard, but you really can’t knock it.
