Originally made (before brewing started at the pub) by WJ King.
Note: Possibly the same beer as People’s Pints Best. However, according to the brewer, all recipes at the People’s Park Tavern underwent a thorough revamp in July 2014.
A traditional best bitter, a malty background makes way to a bitterness and nutty finish.

On tap (as Laines Best) at the North Laine Brewpub, Brighton on 16th September 2013. Copper with thin off-white part-lacing head. Sweet caramel aroma. Fruity berries in-mouth with tangy citrus. Fruit and caramel-malt in finish, on a zingy mouthfeel and a light to medium body.

Tried as Laines Best. Conventional bitter in appearance. Unpleasant lactic aroma, very bland taste. Not worth trying.
