Can on a train (VR) in Finland.Pours golden with a big frothy head, impressive appearance.Aroma of citrus fruitiness coupled with some floral and even exotic fruity notes, also a touch of pale maltiness in the background. Taste is crisp and fairly dry. Hoppy bitterness is light to medium in strength, for an American style ale a bit too mild. Crisp, fresh fruitiness dominates with some floral notes. The palate is a bit aggressive, as the carbonation seems overdone. Light body. Overall this is a decent alternative to other light, pale micro brews available in Finland but not as good as the main competitor, the brilliant Keisari 66. Towers above other beers in VR’s selection, however.

Tap at Kaisla, Helsinki. Poured a clear light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grassy hop, sugary glucose. The flavour is medium bitter with a light malt grass nettle hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

(Keg at Painobaari, 20140708) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, peas and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sweetness, malts, peas, acridness and bitterness. Aftertaste was metallic, acrid and bitter. Whatever was the target when making this beer I hope this end result wasn’t that one.

Bright off-white hue, fine lacings, hazy golden body. Nose gets flowerish lemonish apricotish fizzy hops. Taste; nice sweet citric hops, bready fruity malts, modest resin and a butterscotch. Nice n cool on palate, fine carbonation and a nice balance. Finishes floral and nice fresh. Goes along with dinners and even a plate with grapes.
