Aroma is bready malts, some slight mashlike notes along with some nuts, caramel and mild toasted notes. Flavour is sweet malts with mild herbal and grainy notes as well as some mashlike sweetness. Smooth. Not all too much Mämmi noteable.

Bottle. Pale amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is spices, caramel, malt. Flavour is spices, caramel, malt, fruit. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Medium beige head doesn’t last. Clear red body with light carbonation. Milky caramelly aroma with earthy cinnamon notes. Dryish cinnamon and roasted malts taste with burnt notes. Mid-bodied. Slightly hot mouthfeel, otherwise very smooth. Dryish earthy licorice aftertaste with spicy burnt notes. Nice and interesting. Wonder what this really is. (0.5l bottle, Alko Arkadia, Helsinki.)

Light aroma is malty: bread, slightly caramelly. Colour is nice red/brown. Head is beige and short. Taste is also malty but also bit metallic. Bit vegetable. Light body with soft carbonation, almost watery. Bit dry and just slightly bitter. Overall flavors are just not what they could be. Bit flat and one-sided, concervative. Name comes from a traditional finnish dessert- mämmi.

Clear medium to dark orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, nutty, caramel, malt extract. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt extract, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120623]

Bottle. A clear, amber colored beer with a dense, light beige head. Very malty nose, crystal malt springs to mind, some fruityness chimes in, but besides that, it’s not much going on. Don’t think I like it very much. The flavor has the same problem, although not as bready and malty, and a tad more fruity. Lacks on bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. A strange beer I can’t imagine having a bottle on my own of. 120623
