laiti (4952) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 16, 2013
Draught @ Kahdet Kasvot. Rated on 12.05.2010
Aroma is slightly sour with banana esthers, citrusy notes, wheat and yeast. Flavour is rather strong on banana esthers, also some fruity notes, wheat and yeast. One of the best Finnish hefes out there. Probably because most of them are 4,7% or lower…

Tap @ Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere. Rated @ 14.5.2010.
Pours a slightly hazy orange colour with a medium-sized frothy head. Banana and other fruits on the nose. Flavour of banana, yeast, citrus with mild spices. Medium bodied with a thin mouthfeel. Classic Hefeweizen style. Easy to drink.

Bottle. Golden, cloudy, small to average mostly fully diminishing head. Light to moderate sweetish aroma, wheat, some banana and fruit. Body is moderate, flavor has some sweetness and wheat , herbs. Finish is average, dryish and bit harsh. OK hefeweizen with fairly good body.

Bottle at Harald Restaurant, Turku, Finland. Hazy golden pour with a mid sized fading white head. Nose had fairly typical traces of banana in there with some bready notes also. Oily mouthfeel. Flavour was sweetish and pretty true to a style which isn’t my favourite. Tolerable.

Draught@SOPP2010. Cloudy golden color, white head. Fruity aroma with a hint of yeast and wheat. Spicy flavor, mostly coriander, toasty finish. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Slightly too heavy to really shine as a hefe.

500 ml bottle. SOPP Lahti. Hazy yellow body, white head. Some banana and apples in aroma. Maybe little clove too. Mouthfeel is maybe too watery.

Kavu (1972) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 9, 2010
Pours hazy light yellow with a semi-heavy head. Aroma is mostly wheat with just a hint of banana. Flavor is a bit bitter and mostly wheat again. Not quite as good as german hefeweizens but pretty nice for a finnish one.
