330ml can, clear pale yellow colour, medium mostly vanishing fizzy head, some lacing. Aroma is light malty grains and medium grassy and floral hops and wet paper in the aroma. Taste is slightly acidic at first and turn into a moderately bitter finish with a moderately astringent feel. Light body, dry texture, lively carbonation. Much like a bulk German pils, way more hopped than the bulk Finnish macro lagers, which is positive since the joint making it is essentially a macro brewery, would’ve even been decent if it wasn’t for the slight papery side taste.

Yellow, not much head. Grassy and citric., buttery. Medium bitterness. Not a very good Pilsener but still the best within the Kukko series.

Clear golden colour. Aroma has malts, notes of fruity hops and grass. Dry mouthfeel, slightly bitter. Could have thicker palate. Some small hints of metal and cardboard too.

Aroma fruity hops. White head, leaves a 1 cm lace inside the mug. Very pale straw-yellow colour, on clear water. Carbonation is rather good. Much bread, hops, grain and distinct bitterness in the taste. Not sweet. Average mouthfeel. Hoppy and dry aftertaste, with tiny hints of malts only. Probably an excellent partner along with a sandwich with pickled herring. An interesting pilsener, among all the anonymous waterish supermarket-beers from this part of Europe. 50 cl can bought in Finland, enjoyed at home with my wife.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2013 Golden yellow clear beer with some nice head which dissolves quickly, leaving a little layer on top of the beer. Aroma is mostly grainy malty. The taste begins with a metallic sidenote and goes on with maltiness. The finish has a nice amount of fresh hops but also some Laitila trademark vegetables or pea soup taste. It’s a pretty highly carbonated and thin beer. For the price and availability it’s ok and I give a bonus point for being gluten free and produced with wind power. However, with better options available (without vegetable and metallic aromas), I’m probably not going to buy this again.

Can. Pale yellow, clear. This is probably the most interesting of finnish continentally-hopped bulk beers. Quite bitter, a bunch of green hoppy flavours. The malts are, however, hard to find, and the yeast profile seems like the same as all other bulks around here. Not actually that bad, if faced with choosing between this and another finnish bulk lager, go for this!
