COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation on this classic German session beer stays true to tradition. A mild malt backbone is finished with a spicy hop zing. Light pear and apple notes come through in this ultra-simple yet refreshing ale.

Nice noble hoppiness, not clean enough to stand against the germans but a decent koelsch.

Light hazy yellow orange color. Lots of hops and yeast and malt. Short finish with bubbles.

tmoreau (2314) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - SEP 10, 2013
On tap at the Beer House in Yorktown Center, Lombard, IL., and shaker served displaying a cloudy, orange hue, with a decent layer of creamy, soft white head foam, and dots & waves of lacing. The aroma was some grain, with a lightly toasted scent, light esters, and a touch of yeasty tartness. Hop bitterness was low, with a little earthiness, and some lingering quality. Medium bodied, with good carbonation, and a smooth mouthfeel. Nicely sessionable.

Orange pour from draft at witts. Fruity orange and apricot flavor on a lighter and smooth body. Not bitter, slight hops. Pretty good for this style.

jstraw (1906) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2013
Draft at Jerry’s. Hazy yellow-gold with decent, white head, some legs / Fat, interesting nose of lemon, pear, bubblegum, resin, grass / Medium body, mostly dry, seemingly a hint thin but probably just needs a little more carbonation, otherwise excellent balance and lightly bitter finish / Stylish flavors of straw, grass, pear, apple, resin, coriander / A fine start for Lake Effect, and should be a terrific patio quaffer.
