iabeerguy (158), Iowa, USA Sep 28, 2009 Pours a yellow color with a white head. Smell of grains and malts. I was a little disappointed in the taste. A little sweet at the end. Was hoping for more. madvike (301), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 26, 2009 Bottle - Not a fan. Pours light yellow with a fizzy white head that’s gone in no time. Smells of corn, sweet grain, and a touch of malt. Faint vanilla. There really isn’t much taste at all, with a bit of barley and malt, along with a stale hop finish. Doesn’t even feel good in the mouth, as it’s syrupy, with too much carbonation. I don’t see much difference between this and Bud. Yuck. nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 19, 2009 12oz bottle. Light golden-yellow, almost transparent, maybe a slight haze. Small head that fades into an oily top. Sweet brewery fresh smell of malt and corn. Creamy and mild, with some initial crispness. Medium bodied. Sweet aftertaste, with some distant bitterness. Not unlike some English Ales in its light, fruity malt base and subtle hopping. Well done, one of the better Cream Ales out there. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 1, 2009 courtesy of abends.
pours golden straw with thick white head.
Aroma and taste, hoppy, some fruits notes and light touch of corn.
Creamy mouthfeel, with some citrus and corn that just remains way too hidden for a pre-prohibition style.
Not bad, just too light in body. Marcon (1), Alabama, USA does not count Apr 22, 2009 This is the worst damn beer I have ever had. It tastes Like Miller Lite! My wife was embarrassed when I sent it back. Scubatrip (387), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Feb 27, 2009 From the bottle, pours a clear yellowish orange with no discerable head. Smells a bit like cream corn, a hint of malt. Taste is a bit corny, with some caramel malts sneaking in. Most of the falvors disipate quickly. Very light and smooth in the mouth, I’d call this a quaffing beer and look for it on a hot summer day. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jan 28, 2009 Call me crazy, but this stuff was really good. The aroma is of sweet corn, fruity sweetness, and light hop bitterness. Pours a light yellow gold with a chill haze and a thin head. The flavor is sweet, corny, kind of bready, and a little fruity. The hop finish is crisp and there are some lingering sugars on the palate. I really liked this a lot! I am a fool for a good cream ale though. Bockyhorsey (2483), Mesa, Arizona, USA Dec 10, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Mother in Law. Definently a creamy aroma but also a metalic oder as well and present in flavor. Yellow body with white creamy head that covers the brew till finish. Flavor has a creamy texture but alos metalic and starchy. Filling brew and sweet chalky palate. Odd brew, but thanks for gifts much appricated.
