Good aroma with alot of sweetnees. A beautiful amber color with good clarity. Nice sweet flavor from the corn with just the right amount of hoppy bite. A nice light finish with no bitterness.

Slimmer straw yellow with a slight smudgey body to it. Quick and faint white capping of thin stature makes its way from the pour but gets to its lower collaring quickly. Medium rising carbonation. Minimal lacing in strings mainly closer to the liquid than sticking elsewhere along the glass. Aroma is faint of light creamy grass, corn, and hay with a slender underbite of bread dough. Solid flavors of paled malt and white corn startch make for a steady flow of evenly handed sweetness that of which is simple, delicate, and fluffy in a bready/biscuity kind of way. Flavors last for a good bit too and has a slight touch and dance of spicy grassyness. Feel is soft, smooth, and wholesome with a simple, delicate sweetening texture and bold lenghtyness. Bright, yet dulling, clean, and rounded with a bready dryish malt with a semi light drying sense and flint of spice and toastedness in the finish. A solid cream ale. A summer quencher for sure to be enjoyed when ever, where ever within the dog days of summer. Gone in to time and another is just as easy to down.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2005 A solid cream ale. Very well rounded mouthfeel--not at all watery. Fruity notes.....perfect finish for a light beer. Could use some stronger colors and more complex smells

Immeadiately after opening the growler, I’m presented by an array of fruit esters; banana, apple, orange, peach. Flavors are big and impressive, mixed fruit, caramel malts, thick cream, and an end of a very mild floral hoppiness. Flavors don’t rush you at once, each gets its turn to shine. Mouthfel is very full, and the brew goes down very nicely, no rockiness or rough flavors to hamper enjoyment. My only complaint is the yellow-orange color, which looks a bit sickly, but otherwise this is an amazing brew!

Bottle thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Pours hazy yellow, white head. Aroma is sauerkraut, malt, hops. Flavor is hoppy, grainy, slightly tangy and bubbly. Yum.

Call me crazy, but this stuff was really good. The aroma is of sweet corn, fruity sweetness, and light hop bitterness. Pours a light yellow gold with a chill haze and a thin head. The flavor is sweet, corny, kind of bready, and a little fruity. The hop finish is crisp and there are some lingering sugars on the palate. I really liked this a lot! I am a fool for a good cream ale though.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2009 Retried this at Scott and Sue’s and it was a classic summer quencher. Not cloying like previous sample. Original post below may have been bad bottle so I will leave it and rerate. I really like this brewer but this was amazingly bad. I sampled with 3 people and we all poured the glass down the drain. Way too much carbonation and sour and tart and a cloying sugary. A little like Buffalo Bill’s orange blossom. which is horrid. Perhaps a bad bottle but I rate what I get.

12oz bottle. Light golden-yellow, almost transparent, maybe a slight haze. Small head that fades into an oily top. Sweet brewery fresh smell of malt and corn. Creamy and mild, with some initial crispness. Medium bodied. Sweet aftertaste, with some distant bitterness. Not unlike some English Ales in its light, fruity malt base and subtle hopping. Well done, one of the better Cream Ales out there.

Pretty cool to have 1200 ratings; albeit, it seems to be taking me longer and longer to rate. This has great head retention, and a lovely dark, hazy gold body. Looks good to me; although, I do wish that the body was a bit darker, color-wise. Anyways, Subtle cream and wheat aroma, with a tinge of corn mixed in there, as well. Wow, for a cream ale, this has all of the right aromas. There is a subtle hop aroma that balances out the sweet cream aroma. I imagine some of the sweet aroma(s) are coming from the corn that was used. The "true" corn aroma seems to be showing up more, as this beer warms. My advice: drink this cold, that is - the colder, the better. This has a wonderful texture, and just blesses my taste buds with a sweet yeast, corn, sugar, cream, and subtle hop flavor. This is exceptionally easy to drink, and for a cream ale, it’s one of the best that I’ve ever tried. Way to go, Lake Louie.

I love this style of beer and this is a good one. Pours clear golden with a nice froth. Aroma of cookies and grain. Sweet on the tongue and long in the finish (for the style anyway). Fine anytime type of beer.
