KingpinIPA (789), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 6, 2008 Reddish brown color. Smell of hops, malt, coco, caramel and coffee. Taste of roasted coffee, coco, malt, hops, caramel, and sugar. esjaygee (626), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA May 31, 2008 Murky reddish brown with a large tan head, quickly dissipating and lacing my glass along the way. Aroma of roasted malts, light fruit and chocolate with some sourness to it. Taste is of caramel and chocolate with some light roasted malt characteristics to it. It had sort of a sour lactic quality and it finished lightly dry. BlackDonald (610), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA May 21, 2008 Strong aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee, with that buttery smell reminiscent of caramel corn, but it blends nicely into the flavor. Has some chocolate icing in the flavor and a strong coffee roastiness. Some grassy hops and some light fruit notes as well, but overall this was a pretty lame beer. General_Gao (2303), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 18, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear ruddy dark brown color with a khaki head. Smelled of chocolate brownie and earthy dry leaves. There was also some tobacco and leather. Sweet on the tongue and medium bodied. I tasted chocolate, toffee, a splash of coffee, and a hint of sprucy hop. Pretty good. brewblackhole (1214), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Apr 28, 2008 Bitter type roasted aroma, slightly meatllic, dry chocolate roasted taste, pleasant seems like it might get a sweet edge as it warms,a little hop comes in as it warms, and yes there is the slight chocolate syrup sweetness, gooed stuff
