On tap at dexters, pours a clear copperish red with an off white head, the aroma is of huge sweetness with a ton of malt and a little bit of caramel mixed in as well, the flavor has a ton of sweet malt on the front end with the booze coming through in the finish, really needed to sip this one along, meh.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep dark brown coloured body with a two centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, tons of raisins and pit fruits, a bit of toffee and caramel and a little lighter fruitiness. Medium-bodied; Very fruity flavour with grapes, raisins, plums, prunes and a bit of malt noticeable coupled with some darker peat flavours and a hint of bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows some rather sweet and slightly sour notes, but a little complexity with grapes coupled with peat - interesting. Overall, a pretty good scotch with less emphasis on caramel and more on pit fruits - but a very complex beer and a nice all-around flavour make this worth searching out for, especially if you arenít from the area - as I am not. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Discount Liqour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 06-December-2012.

Pours a clear deep amber with no head. Aromas of smoked peat, malty goodness. Dear god, I hope this isnít a sugar bomb. And... Thankfully it isnít. Taste is dry wood, some smokiness along with a hop bite. Nice, actually. This is a beer I can enjoy. Hides the 9%abv really well. Good beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This pours a murky brownish-amber color with a pencil thin head on top. The aroma is a bit candy-like; picking up cherry, toffee, red plum, and twizzlers. Itís sweet going down and a little thinner than expected. The flavors are sweet caramel and toffee, thatís joined by some cherry cough drop, plum, leading to a somewhat prickly finish. Not bad but not something I entirely enjoyed either. Admittedly not one of my favorite styles.

Not worth seeking out. Caramel bomb. Tastes like a caramel candy with alcohol in the center

Thanks puzzl! Some sour cherry and cabernet aroma, wine barrel aged? Smells good to me. All of that leaves on the sip, and replaced by toasted marshmallow and burnt sweetness. Campfire smoke.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an opaque brown with a medium tan head...lt sediment throughout. Aroma has roasty malt and a bit of spicy hops...some peaty notes. Flavor actually has some scotchy qualities...roasty with good bitterness and a woody note. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry, earthy finish that has some tea notes.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted on 4/4/12 from a 12oz bottle obtained in a recent BIF. Pours dark auburn with an average tan head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is bread malt with some green hops underlying, and maybe just a touch of raisin. The flavor is nicely malty with bread and some cereal up front, moving to the lightly bitter, but very green hops and the same lightly sweet touch of raisin. The body is nearly full with average carbonation and a medium finish that has some of the green hops and just a hint of raisin still.
