Pours with dark amber, burnt orange, copper colour and off-white, ecru-coloured foam. The aromatics are primarily citrus (grapefruit) with a subtle pine note. After the first scent, the malt aromatics come through – slight hint of toffee with some mild aromas of hay and straw. The body of the beer is roasted malts, dark toffee, a gentle molasses flavour and a touch of black licorice. The mouth feel is rounded and very dry. The finish is moderate-to-bold bitterness that lingers longer but is very pleasant. The finish is enveloping and builds with each sip.

Can from LCBO. Dark amber. Caramelly and toffee-y overall character with resiny bitterness. A bit rough, not too well rounded. Not very keen on this.

Fairly standard IPA. Good but not exceptional. Amber colour, decent amount of hoppy bitterness and traces of smoke in the malt. Highly drinkable but not unique.

Appearance: clear pale to medium amber with one fat finger of fluffy white head, good retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: resiny pine, pithy grapefruit, pale malt, tropical fruit. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, off-dry lingering bitter finish. (3/5) Much better than their Crosswind Pale Ale. Actually a halfway decent example of an American IPA, with piney and citrusy hops leading the way over just enough pale malt to balance. Ends with a lingering resiny bitter finish. A little rough around the edges, perhaps, but a solid performer. (14/20)

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2016 Amertume soutenue sur du caramel, du sucre d?orge, et des fruits mûrs. Même si je ne rachèterais pas nécessairement ce produit, c?est correct.

Can. The aroma is flowery, with a bitter note, like broccoli. The taste is watery, with quite a bit of smoke for an IPA. Short finish.

0.473 can. Clear, coppery color and a medium, off-white head. Aroma of hops, exotic fruits, some hay, caramel, flowers, pines - it’s crisp and fresh. Taste is moderately bitter with a malty touch to it, floral and citric, also sweet to an extent. A medium body, an oily texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is medium long and relatively sweet, sort of like ice tea. Overall not a bad beer, quite drinkable.

473 ml can from a sampler four-pack from Sobeys, in a pilsner flute. Pours a bright, moderate amber hue with light carbonation and a puffy, milky head that retains well and leaves plenty of lacy lace. Aroma is a nice burst of citrus and piney hops, somewhere between fresh and dusty, with a small amount of floral that sits with the no-nonsense malt. Flavor is highly citrus, all grapefruit and lemon, with a soft astringency, and the sip ends like a lightly-sweetened iced tea, of all things. Thin-bodied, and the initial astringency keeps your mouth watering a few moments. Good, but it could be great with its rougher edges knocked off and the overall presentation freshened.
