COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours with dark amber, burnt orange, copper colour and off-white, ecru-coloured foam. The aromatics are primarily citrus (grapefruit) with a subtle pine note. After the first scent, the malt aromatics come through – slight hint of toffee with some mild aromas of hay and straw. The body of the beer is roasted malts, dark toffee, a gentle molasses flavour and a touch of black licorice. The mouth feel is rounded and very dry. The finish is moderate-to-bold bitterness that lingers longer but is very pleasant. The finish is enveloping and builds with each sip.

Smells sweet and floral with light fruit. Really good drink, full of body - a whole progression of tastes that end in hoppiness. Not super bitter, but still quite good. Interesting. Cask at Castro’s.

Le nez est assez inoffensif et frais, comme un céleri. En bouche, le liquide est croustillant et les houblons sont épuisés.

Bottle - 750ml. Limpid copper body with an average white frothy/creamy head. Nice hoppy aroma with malty, cinnamon, and spicy hints. Its sharp, well balanced hoppy taste carries malty, woody, grainy, and brown sugar notes. Ends with a decent, slightly warming, bittersweet finish. Enjoyable.

750 ml bottle purchased at LCBO Hawkesbury on September 22, 2013. Honey red, thin head. Pine hop aroma, very dry. The taste is the same but slightly sweet, a little bitter. Well it’s not 10 points out of 10!
