3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Cask Days 2012. Sixth beer of the fest. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a small lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma is roasty along with a good amount of coffee. Flavour’s the same, roasted malt and coffee along with a hint of chocolate. Average to medium bodied. Autumn Ale? Tastes like a Coffee Porter to me. Regardless I enjoyed it.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light roasted malts, earthy hops, light nutiness. Good mouth feel, low carb. Kinda a boring simple brown ale. Is it called a harvest ale just beacause the time of year?

Dark pour. A touch of chocolate and some light roasted malt. A bit of cocoa along with some light earthy hoppiness. Kind of a simple brew - not sure what was harvested.
