Probably the best one they do. Find the batches inconsistent. Sometimes you get the pale ale lite that theyíre aiming for; other times you get Ontario skunk water twang (think steamwhistle). I drank & will drink again -- and will drop by brewery few times a year -- but Iíd like to see them push it a bit further.

Very mild building to moderate butterscotch in the aroma. A nice amber colour, not a lot of carbonation, no head, little lacing. A little cloying on the first sip. That caramel/butterscotch is there in the taste again, but a bit sweeter. A decent bitter finish. Little thin overall, nowhere near full enough. Overall, OK, could be better.

Straw yellow with hint of orangecolor with no head. Aroma of caramel and citrus with a sweet citrus flavor with caramel, and bread. Quite sweet with little to redeem it.

Aroma is big on the caramel malts, itís pretty much all I smell, that and diacetyl. The flavour is also completely dominated by caramel malts with the hops only making a breif, lack luster appearance in the finish. Itís not horrible, but I donít see why I would drink this if I have a choice.

473ml can. Labeled as "Crosswind Pale Ale". Pours a clear honey orange with an off-white head that disappeared immediately. Aromas of caramel malts, faint citrus, and a strong alcohol/chemical note that is slightly harsh, very much off-putting. The taste is sweet with decent malt notes, caramel, light fruit, woody and light floral notes, and hops that arenít too spectacular. Think mediocre home brew.

Bottle from LCBO: Golden beer with nice head and lace. Aromas of citrus and toasted grains. Flavour is bready and malty with some sweetness. Nice mouthfeel and bitter end.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2014 Golden pour with a thin lace and head. Sweet honey aroma. Very low carbonation. Honey malt flavour with a surprising bitter finish. Smooth texture. All together a bit sweet.

Decent pour, weak body for a pale ale, very light citrus notes. Sweeter malty finish, Lake of Bays ales tend to be too sweet and under attenuated for my tastes. Nothing special, not for me.

Bottle. Pours clear and golden. Aroma is nothing much. Taste is sweet and fruity, only moderately bitter. Decent.

On tap at Smokeless Joe, bright amber-gold color, with a small white head, with a faint crunchy pale, toasted malt, light fruity leafy, grassy, herbal hop nose, with a medium-bodied palate, a nice toasted, caramel malt, flowery fruity citrusy, leafy hop character, with somme grassy flavours, leading towards a fruity, leafy, grassy hop bitternees finish.
