2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
This one was not the greatest and not what I was expecting. The pour is a bright golden/amber with a huge frothy white head. Some thick lacing rings. The nose is overly grainy with a fresh floral hop with prominent pine and light citrus. The taste is grainy and bland overall with a medium body. An overall grainy taste with a light hop on the finish. An overall light skunk and a very ’off’ taste. Overall, the nose was great but the taste fell way short in my opinion.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
I tried this beer on October 17, 2011 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer pours a light golden orange ini colour with a thin tan head that lasts a while. Aroma is citrusy hops, caramel, and light fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is caramel, fruit, weak grapefruit, and a nice bitter finish. This would definitely make a great session beer.

Okay bright gold body, very weak head. Good hoppy aroma. Flavour is a nice light brew with a hoppy finish. This is a good refreshing brew, nothing special, but it’s something you can drink easily.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Came in the OCB Discovery Pack 9 at the LCBO, for summer 2011. Honey coloured (golden with a hue of amber) with a big frothy slightly off-white head that has good retention and dirty lacing. Nice fresh grain scent (biscuit malt) with some mild piney hop well-balanced in the back to add some character. Smooth medium-bodied, not to be too watery, but still be refreshing. Mildly sweet malt with some fruity notes and a lightly dry finish. A pretty good, above average Ontario Pale Ale.

Bottle brought from Kingston by Robbie. Pale orange amber. Soft stone fruit hop aroma and flavour, sweet malt, low-medium bitterness. Quite sessionable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fresh from the brewery, nice light hoppy aroma, flavour is really fresh and crisp with a nice amount of hop bitterness. Not the biggest hop flavour, but really clean and well done. Great summer beer.

341ml bottle, 5% a/v
Pours light gold with a generous white head. Looksgood! The aroma is slightly hoppy, with citrus and spruce notes. A bit of biscuity malt balances it out. The taste is also hoppy, but balanced well with some caramel malt, the aftertaste is largely where the malt shines through and does so well!
Good beer Lake of Bays!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. Amber pour. Aroma of bready malts, a little fresh hoppiness. Taste is straightforward, a little too sweet for a pale ale. Could do with more hops. Still, decent first offering from a new brewer.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Innisfil, Ontario, Canada.
Amber pour, but not a deep colour. White, think head. Biscuit malt nose, but everything here is faint. Not much pine; I want my Pale Ale smelling like a waxed baseball bat! Medium bodied, pleasing carbonation. Smooth. Defined sweetness here, and a little artificial. That’s a disappointment. I’m lukewarm on this entry; not bad pale ale, but not near the top of the pack, either.
