Lake of Bays Brewing Company Pale Ale is a light-coloured beer that’s full of natural flavour! Sweet caramel malt tones are balanced by fresh hop aromas and just a hint of roasted grain. Enjoy!

Malty aroma with a bit of honey. Clear straw colour. Biscuity flavour with a slight sweetness and a bitter finish. Light bosy. Good for a session beer.

Cleanly made pale ale. Mild bitterness, hop selection isn't great or anything unique. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Its smell like damp basement (in a good way). Not so easy on the eye, but still doable, like many of my exes. Taste like peppery vegetarian side dish. Mouth is progressively getting anxious for something other than crosswind PA. Nice, lingering bite though.

473 ml can from a sampler four-pack from Sobeys, served in a pilsner flute. Pours a nice yellow-amber shade with moderate, slow-rising carbonation, leaving a head of meringue-like white, which then leaves spatters of lace. Nose holds nice and generally fresh citrus and perfumey hops, balanced with sweet toasty cereals; flavor-wise, the hops and malt are in balance, although the overall flavor is muted. Thin, with a fairly clean finish. This is probably my favorite of the four varieties in this taster package from Lake of Bays, but each one needs some finessing to make them great examples of microbrewery art. Also, four is too many to attempt to review in one sitting; I’m definitely off my game tonight with my deScriptions. I promise to improve.

So one of the grabs by my daughters, given to me for a birthday present. Dear Americans who have bought this beer (I see it’s exported down south) please don’t use this beer as a benchmark for Canadian brews, we can, and do, make much, much better. While nothing is wrong with this beer, it just falls short. Mild resin, pine, and bitter hop flavours. (That’s right with a u.) Cereal malts, some sweetness, but not syrupy. Solid favour but not all that interesting. So ya, try it if you like, but try some others too. (And smuggle some good ones up my way too.)

Can. Clear golden, medium white head. The aroma is slightly metallic, hoppy but weak. The taste is lame but quite refreshing. It doesn’t give any interstitial flavors.

This beer really missed the mark. I have no doubt that they used fine ingredients, but it just wasn’t for me. Bland. MB

ENG: 473ml can from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg. Poured into the tulip, gives little opalescent, golden color, with small tan head but a bit of lacing. Delicate citrusy hoppy aromas. A bit hoppy taste, mixed with malty and caramel notes. A bit soury too. Soury-bitter aftertaste, and there’s some alcohol presence coming up too. Medium carbonation and light body. Overall quite light beer, without any "fireworks", but very drinkable, refreshing APA

PL: Puszka 473ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg. Przelana do kieliszka, daje lekko opalizującą, złocistą barwę, niewielką pianę ale i nieco lejsingu. Delikatne cytrusowo-chmielowe aromaty. W smaku delikatnie chmielowe, zmieszane ze słodami i karmelem. Nieco kwaśne. W posmaku kwaśna goryczka i gdzieś tam też pojawia się alkohol. Średnie nasycenie i lekkie ciało. Podsumowując dość lekkie piwo bez żadnych "fajerwerków", ale bardzo pijalne i orzeźwiające APA.
