Looks like a coke. With head. Very strong coffee scent. Dark chocolate and something sweet. Very smoky mouth. Smoked cheese, smoked chocolate cheese. Thick. Sweet. Rich. Heavy. Nice but very rich, a bit too much. Good but a bit unbalanced.

Black with a small brown head. Aroma is mild coffee, chocolate, soy sauce, roasted grains. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel, slightly roasty on the palate with an umami finish, hint of metallic aftertaste. Taste is chocolate, subtle coffee, dates, very light roast.

Bottle share. Dark brown. Aroma of coffee, salt water, metallic, light chocolate. Taste is sweet and bitter. Low carbonation, slightly thin and oily, smooth, and a gentle dry finish.

Bottle. Very dark pour with a dense mocha head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee, a little creamy, and fairly sweet. Flavour has some roasty bitterness, mixture of dark chocolate and bitter coffee with some sweet milk chocolate too. Smells delicious but flavour doesn't quite come together for me. Fairly rich texture though, and some good things going on.

I am not sure if there is an old Old North Mocha Porter floating around but my edition from 2014 is 8%ABV in a 750ml bottle. Dang pretty she is, darker than your average porter but still some dark ruby transparency. Beige and mellow is the topper, leaving handsome lacing in the liquids stead. Billowing breaths of dark coffee, dark chocolate, basement, nuts, wood and roasted malts comprise the aroma that entices one to drink a wonderfully well matched taste. Roasty bitterness is barely balanced by chocolate malt sweetness, a lightly oily and thicker than average body make this mid carbonated Porter a real winter treat. Alcohol is not present in taste but this is definitely a warmer. Banger of a brew!

I thought this was quite good. Very nice looking beer that showcased creamy mocha head. Totally coffee and chocolate driven with roasted grains, raisins, and sour cherry complementing the base flavors nicely.

750ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Deep brown in colour with a very thin beige head, very light lacing. The aroma is of chocolate, some coffee, light roast, smoke. The flavour is of roasted malts, some chocolate and caramel sweetness, light smoke, coffee. Thin mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes fairly quick, roasty. Alright, too thin though.

750 mL bottle shared by Kinz at the 21st Richmond Gathering, 11/1/14. Clear dark brown with a thin fizzy tan. Poor. Aroma of roast, coffee, green coffee, ashy notes, mild tart fruits. The taste is chocolate, roast, coffee. Hints of vanilla. Thin bodied.

Bottle @ RG 21. Dark brown with a reddish tinge. Smells roasty/chocolate. Dry roasty flavor. Not too heavy.
