On draft at the brewery tap house. Pours a clear reddish amber with an off white head. Nutty aroma. Flavors of cereal with some roast notes. Smooth and creamy finish.

Growler, fresh from the brewery. Nice clear, dark amber pour with a beige head. Light roasty malt aroma, flavours of chocolate, light fruitiness and hops, and a touch of coffee. A bit thin, but tasty and the best I've had from Lake of the Woods so far.

On tap at the brewpub. It could be that they poured in poorly because there was no head. Anyway, it was a beautiful amber colour. Tasted notes of coffee and chocolate. The best nut brown ale I’ve had.

Pours a nice dark Amber. Aromas of cherry and sweet malt. Similar flavours follow with a pleasing hoppiness. Decent.

Draft sample at the brewpub. Light amber/brown in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Grainy aroma, with hints of nougat and cocoa powder. Flavour is a simple blend of 2-row and chocolate malt, with a bit of a toffee note on the back end. Watery bodied, with a clean finish. Simple and a bit on the bland side.
