Rich, complex maltiness combined with pronounced yet soft & rounded bitterness & spicy flavor from Saaz hops. Bitterness is prominent but never harsh & does not linger.

Typical pils, some floral hops on the nose with subtle spice and solid grains. Nice mouth feel, and good carb. Very light bitterness, subtle cereals in the finish. Finish is crisp and clean.

On draft at the brewery tap house. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Malty nose. Flavors of light caramel with some spicy notes. Crisp, clean finish.

2014/04/09 - Pours a clear, dark orange-gold colour with a small, fizzy white head that lingers. Aroma is bready malt, grass, peanuts, corn and some hops. Taste is similar to nose: sweet grain malts, corn, grass and some nice hop presence. Mouthfeel is medium with some lively, biting carbonation and a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Not bad. Rather sessionable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Darker pour than most pilseners, and more flavour too. Some nice hop presence and a pleasant, balanced taste.

64 oz growler via Piscator34. Pours a clear orange with a modest white head. Aromas are fresh multi-grain bread and grass. Tastes are robust bready malts really well balanced with a crisp spicy hoppy bitterness. Medium carbonation, crisp, beautifully balanced medium bitter finish. Love this stuff.

Fresh growler sample. Clear gold with medium carbonation. I guess they got their first batch haze issues sorted out. Aromas are of rich pilsner malt, herbal hops, and the slightest hint of caramel. Saazy herbal-grassy hop flavor upfront, along with more pils malt, crusty white bread. Lasting grassy finish with solid bitterness. A nice rustic pilsner. Although I would have preferred a bit more aroma hop, I’m happy about the level of bitterness (which seems to be a common mistake). My favorite of their regular offerings,

Growler shared with northropfrye and cards04, Steinbach’s greatest beer geeks. Aroma of sweet corn. Average apperance. Inoffensive taste. A reasonably enjoyable session beer.

Pours a nice golden colour...some nice corn aromas... not a tonne of flavour at first. ..but there is a nice hop bite at the end. Decent pilsner.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2013 Growler via cards04 via his friend. Not a bad little pilsener, though certainly not a hoppy one like good Czech pilsener, but this does have flavour. Very grainy aroma, corn, peanuts. Appearance is darker amber than most pale lagers. Taste is a little sweet grains, with a bitter aftertaste. Quality. Re-rate: Hmmm, either they’re inconsistent in making this, or the growler really affects the flavour, because fresh on tap this was quite a bit better. A nice bitter hop (borderline IPA) quality to this. Upped the rating from 2.9.
