COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A clean, crisp, sessionable craft ale. Sultana Gold is naturally carbonated using an old world brewing technique called Kräusening. Named after a legendary local Gold Mine, Sultana contains malted wheat, pilsner and pale malts. Hop flavour is low to moderate. A remarkably tasty Northern brew.

Very surprising as I loved the taste. It was definitely not your standard canadian lager. It had a bit of a tang to it. Loved it

Pale yellow fizzy stuff, on tap at craft. Not too drinkable. Let me bingo the tap list.

Clear golden pour, no head. Cooked veggie aroma, wet paper, and an odd astringent bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, almost flat carb. Finish is low bitterness with nothing else going on.

can. Poured clear amber with a bid white head that recedes to nil. A fragrant crisp grainy aroma. Light body, lower carbonation with a flatter mouthfeel. Light bready malt with some grassy hops. A little more depth than the average blonde, really nice.

Pours a golden colour with very minuscule particles floating around. The head is big, creamy, fluffy, warm off-white, long lasting and gives out sticky lacing. Biscuit malt nose with a little hop. Mildly grainy taste, but more grassy hops kicking in the finish. Metallic hints from time to time and the grain lingers later. Quite a nice hoppier blonde ale. Reminds me of a micro version of the Labatt 50. And I love 50 as my bar go-to-beer.

473 mL can. Gold, with a small white head. The head disappears fairly quickly. Fairly mainstream, malty aroma. A bit of floral hops. Nothing to see here, folks.

Bit of a surprise here. Was expecting golden ale Canadiana hell, but instead get this odd beer. On the surface it’s kind of banal, but underneath there is an intriguing orchard fruit salad: crisp red apples, almost ripe pear. By no means a great beer, but better than expected. Added 10 minutes later: hmmm, this does get a little worse as the beer sits. The orchard fruit salad fades & a metallic undertone emerges. And thus the rating drops. Not so good.
