changeup45 (530), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 This is pretty good for a PALE ALE but Lake Placid has me confused on this one. The 6 pack carton says 46er IPA, yet when I went to drink the beer, the bottle says it’s a 46er Pale Ale. Searched their website and don’t see anything on a 46er Pale Ale, but trust me that’s what the bottles say... So this is a pretty good Pale Ale, but a weak IPA, if that’s what it is. Pours a copper color with a moderate tanish head and some lacing. Pretty good sweet bitter hoppy bite with some malt characteristics in the background. Not a strong IPA though, this actually reminds me a little of another IPA I had that uses Fuggles, Shipyard IPA. I did enjoy the beer as a nice Pale Ale and if I feel like a nice crisp IPA, I’ll get something else. BREWMUSKCLES (731), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Jan 20, 2008 CHALKY AND SPICEY BREW THAT IS BElgiesk and tangy. wild carbonation and a little coudy this seems like a like wheat beer -to beat-. coriander and touch a banana this beer has a clean finish -as there is no burp (flavor-). still this lively beer is interesting and i respect it. but it is not an ipa in any way. BEERGUY007 (168), Scotia, New York, USA Jan 3, 2008 Bottle from Glenville beverage. Poured an pragnish color, not a huge head. No real lacing either. Bitter hops, its not ruination, but it’ll do. Good beer over all. agl108 (354), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 12, 2007 On draft at Lake Placid Pub & Brewery. Poured cleer, deep copper with lovely lacing. Pine and citrusy nose. Flavor is well balanced with sweet malt and bitter hops. A pleasant surprise. Prcaus (159), New Jersey, USA Oct 28, 2007 12 oz bottle Discount Liquor’s Voorhees, NJ- Light golden coloring with thin diminishing head. Mild bitterness for an IPA, but finished decently with a strong after taste.
