enjoyed this less than the frostbite. tasted very similiar to the ubu, and the alcohol really seemed to shine through.

Sampler at brewpub. Copper color. Smooth but relatively tasteless for a pale ale. Needs a touch more hops. Good to intro somebody to PA and IPA style but move on quickly from there.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2013-04-30. Crisp dark amber body small off white head. 3+ Sweet caramel malt aroma. Flavour is pretty sweet up front, caramel malt, finishes with a decent amount of bitterness. Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Pretty sweet, malt forward, it is almost more English style than American. On tap at the brewery

Lake Placid Brewery in Lake Placid, N.Y., on June 28, 2012. Draft into pint glass. Two fingers of head when I got it. Caramel copper color. Soft frothy lacing with good retention.
Smelled lemon citrus, grain, biscuit and caramel.
Tasted English style pale ale malts. Bread, biscuit, light citrus, iced tea, rye,
Medium-to-light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
Nothing too special, nothing too bad. A good beer to start my trip in Lake Placid.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This is a subpar pale ale. Was expecting better based on their other beers. Manages to taste chocolaty more than hoppy somehow, thought it looks like a normal tan pale ale. No aroma to speak of. Does have some crisp spicu hoppinesss. Would do in a pinch, but I recommend the Ipa or the esb over this by a big margin. On tap at the brewpub.

Not my favorite IPA but still enjoyed it. Goes down not too harsh has a good palate and the copper colour is easy on the eye.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
this is a good copy of an English style pale. Unfortunately the English suck at making pale ales, in turn this beer inherently sucks. Copy a retard and your gonna look......

very sweet and mellow. Sweeter than I expected. I wish it was a but less sweet. Then again I drank it a bit warmer than I should have .

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A - Pours a cloudy amber color with some nice fuzzy white head with pretty decent retention and some really nice lacing left behind.
S - Some fairly sweet, almost citrusy malt is the most present aroma. There is a slight amount of herbal notes and a touch of hops.
T - Starts of with some mild maltiness. Then it gets a bit sweeter as the citrus flavors and hops add to the growing malt flavor. The hops make for a tiny bit of a bite at the end.
M - Medium bodied and just a bit too much carbonation, which is a bit above medium level. Though it does make the beer feel a little more crisp, it feels a bit too fizzy on the tongue for the level of flavor.
D - Overall, the flavors are okay, the mouthfeel could just use a little work. The flavors overall are balanced quite well, just a little bit to subtle overall. Overall, fairly crisp and easy to drink.
