Commercial Description:
Our American Amber Ale is a medium bodied beer, combining a touch of malty sweetness with pleasant American hops. Barkeater tips the scales at 5.0% ABV.

Growler - Pours a reddish amber color with no head (bad omen). There appeared to be an adequate seal on the growler. Malty aroma, some brown sugar and caramel smells. This is too bad...it must be a bad growler. Almost no carbonation, very flat tasting. I am disappointed, I was looking forward to this brew. I will have to re-rate...will give average scores for now.

Got a growler from the brewery. Pours nice amber color with a great head but fades soon. Leaving nice lace about half the class. Aroma is malty carmel but not too sweet. Good bitterness. Not a bad beer that is easy for me to get so mabye it gets a little higher rating than it may otherwise deserve.

Difficult beer to rate--had about a 4 oz sample of this at the Brewery in PLattsburgh, NY. The beer poured a lighter garnet color--more red than the 46er, but lighter in color than the Ubu. I had troulbe with the aroma--Im not used to rating in a brewery with lots of different aromas going on. This beer was quite hoppy at first, but then mellowed out and finished with some pleasant bitterness. The palate was difficult for me to evaluate, because I believe the beer was a tad bit too cold. I will have to buy a growler of this stuff and re-rate it for more accuracy.
