1more4dessert (216), Upstate, New York, USA Jan 1, 2004 from growler - cloudy amber color with modest but well sustained white head. A nicely balanced apa, piney, nice dry finish. both this and the IPA (Frostbite) are exceptional and several notches above their flagship brews. frylock (944), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 2, 2003 Orange/brown body with a medium sized head. Nice lacing. Aroma is citric and hoppy. Taste is full of cascade hops. This is a very solid pale ale, much better than their 46'er IPA. ChazyRPh (569), Chazy, New York, USA Aug 31, 2003 A nice looking beer after pouring from the growler. It is hazy, although that was expected as Lake Placid Pub & Brewery does not filter their beer (according to the brewery tour that my brother and I took). I smell lemon/lime, maybe some grapefruit. A strong hop presence, although not overpowering. The cirtus rings through also, making this beer a refreshing solid brew. I hope Lake Placid keeps making this beer, it could be a hit. DYCSoccer17 (1996), Davis, California, USA Aug 31, 2003 Pours a slightly hazy amber/copper color with a nice moderate white head which lingers with nice lacing. Nose is citrusy with maybe a hint of hops. Start is a good mix of citrus and hops, which turns into a hoppier aftertaste and then morphs into a real smooth aftertaste. This is a very enjoyable beer. **Note** I added this beer and am not certain of the alcohol content or the exact style. It is definitely an Ale. I picked this growler up from the Plattsburgh NY portion of the brewery while on a tour. Unfortunately, they did not list this on their website. The nomenclature may be derived from Cascade Mountain in the Adirondaks, which is a favorite 4000+ ft mountain to climb with an amazing and beautiful rocky peak.
