Dark amber color. Nice hop rich smell. Head is kind poor, but other than that it leaves a nice lace. Beautiful pour. Really solid beer from a small brewery that I have never had a bad beer from.

300 yen from Nagano Trading, 7%. A nice amber color with a beige head. A nice hop bouquet of citrus & grapefruit. A hint of a caramel base overlain with a clean bitterness. Somewhat astringent but nice. An interesting balance between malt & hop.

Nice amber reddish unfiltered color seems a little flat... Nice hops to malt balance .. very drinkable beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 mL bottle. Quite dark for an IPA. Smells British, not American. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Flavour is muddled and a little watery. Malt in there, touch or fruit, some earthy hops. Bitterness in the finish. A little disappointing, after seeing the rating.

Bottle. Bright orange with a decently bodied head. The acidic, citrus-blossom aroma wafts quite a distance. At first blush, this is aiming for that big west coast pop. But I instead get bit of green leafy vegetable instead of grapefruit. And the finish is rife with sour mash. (#4912, 1/15/2013)

Bottle. Nose of coffee, tobacco, caramel, earth, a bit of cabbage. Rich amber with a low head. Bitter, minerally, and tart, with some vegetables. Astringent, weird, and not so nice. Something strange.

maekchu (2283) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle. Gift from Neko-chan. Big malty nose, some peach, some hop. Copper. Sweet malt initial; light hops and mineral notes make for a slightly hard mid; final has mild bitterness that fades pretty quickly. Thin (a bit watery). Some unusual flavors. An okay IPA. But not really as good as most.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2012 Nose faint mainly burnt toffee and a hint of citrus. Good looking beer with lovely lacing. Reminds me of an esb with a moderate pnw hop influence. Burnt toffee, caramel and some toasted sesame.
