COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"An Extra Special Bitter, but don't let the name steer you away. This bronze-colored brew offers a great balance between traditional English hops and a bit of residual malt sweetness"

12oz bottle from Wegmanís, West Seneca, NY. Golden amber with a trace of cream head; malty aroma; sweet caramel malt taste; some light herbal hops. Not like the ESBs Iím used to at home.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber with a moderate-large linen white head that lasted until mid-glass and left partial lace. Mild aroma of malt with some faint toast. The flavor is malt along with light toast and caramel. Mild-moderate hops bitterness at the finish with some slight dryness and lingering toast in the aftertaste. Medium bodied.

kramer (4905) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear amber body with a one finger fizzy off-white head that had decent retention. The nose is toasty and crystal malt with just a light hint of leafy hops. The flavor is a little overly sweet for the style based on what I expect. Minimal bitterness fading to a lingering husky and slightly sweet finish. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Not the most exciting beer, but even among the style itís not one of the better examples.

jsmerig (1238) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 8, 2014
Pours a rich reddish amber with a slight head. Aroma of sweet syrup with a light bread touch. Taste is malty and sweet from start to finish with a mild roastiness and slight bitterness from the EKG. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Steverus0 (166) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Bright, clear copper with low head. Nose of malt and hop balance with hops just making a show above the din. Bitterness comes through on the palate right away, although plenty of sweetness to back it up. Mild effervescence and medium body don't make the brew pass quite as cleanly as desirable, but still a tasty brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A fine looking burnt orange/amber beer pured into Sam Adams pint glass. Get a hint of caramel and tropical fruit in the nose. Sweet and earthy hops in the flavor. A nice bitterness in the flavor smoothed out with some caramel sweetness. A pick up a hint of tropical fruit along with a bubblegum note.

Drank on our first 4 of july with our new baby girl Mary(4 months old). Had a great day at Martins Fantasy Island (she fell asleep during all of the fireworks!!!). Pours a medium amber (copper) with a medium frothy head. Aromas of light caramel, slight banana bread, light herbal/fruity hops. Flavors of light caramel, slight bubblegum, slight herbal hop and just a faint hint of a banana ester (but may just be from a combination of flavor profiles). Medium sweet without much of an aftertaste. Decent.

RedSox2004 (1237) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Deep, rich copper color with a one-finger dense head that dissipated quickly and completely, and modest lace. Aromas of toast, floral hops, pine and tropical fruit. Taste is malt-forward, featuring caramel and toast, offset by a prominent grassy hop bitterness. Medium body, generously carbonated, sticky mouthfeel and lingering grassy hops and toast in the finish.

crazyvin (1933) - New York, USA - JUN 23, 2014
A clear copper body with a fast fading white head. Mostly sweet malty aroma, there was a mild toasted malt note to it. A restrained pine hop presence and a mild grass note. Flavor seemed mostly sweet. There was a nice hop bitterness to it, which prevent the beer from being cloyingly sweet. Body was light and easy to drink.

Bottle, Itís a beeyootie of a beer. Copper, the exact same shade as my old í78 T-Bird. The shade hints of some darker crystal malts, and it is a bit sweet, beyond caramel, and pushing into toffee. iíd like a little more hops, and you donít get the biscuit that I love from the best British ESBs. Still, a good effort.
