Zwart bier met donkerbruine kraag die snel inzakt. Aroma van drop, koffie, hout. Smaak is bitterdroog, licht zuur. Melkige komt door in het mondgevoel.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, sweet coffee and roast. Taste is bittersweet. Medium bodied with a thin texture.

Bottle. Deep dark black with a small tan head. Not much lacing. Nose is rich milk chocolate, cream, roasted malts, and a little bit of licorice and coffee. Taste is mostly coffee, the other notes are pretty subdued. A bit thin, a bit sweet, sessionable.

I would not know this was a milk stout if it weren’t right there in the name. It was thin, watery, and a bit dry - not the thicker, creamier, sweeter beer I was expecting.

Bottle - 12oz. Opaque black body with a thin beige creamy head. Decent, well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with grainy hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries malty and roasty notes. Ends with a good bitter/roasty finish. Enjoyable.

This beer is a Milk Stout, only the second of this variety that I have ever had. It tastes like Ovaltine beer, so if you love yourself milk shakes, you will love Nippletop.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle pours a dark dark chocolate brown color with beige head. Aroma is malty and warm with woody undertones. Taste is roasted malts with a oaty flavor. I can taste some chocolate and then the alcohol kicks in. There is a good mouth feel, slighty more bodied giving it a candid smoothness. Not a bad brew

draft at Coles, black pour more schwarzbier looking than stout. lacking the fuller body and creaminess that it desires. lots of coffee notes, decent flavor, average mouthfeel. OK
