COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our version of a milk stout, originally named Fresh Powder Milk Stout. A milk stout is simply a stout brewed with an addition of Lactose, a non-fermentable milk sugar, used to create sweetness and a fuller body and mouthfeel in the beer. This is the sweetest stout that we brew, not only because of the addition of lactose, but because of the low hop bitterness, and higher residual sugar content. It is very full bodied beer, often perceived as thick and creamy.

Nice tasting milk stout. Definitely more sweetness in there than I expected but a nice hearty stout for a cold winter night. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At a tasting, thanks tom, small bubbly head, opaque black colour, quite light aroma of coffee and and cocoa, aroma of mud and charred wood, quite sour, light bitterness. Not good and nothing like a milk stout.

Nice malty, cocoa aroma with some lactose sugar in there. Slight sweet, maybe even less than would expect from a milk stout. Nice full flavor and cocoa flavors and roasted malt. Nice milk stout for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Opaque black without head, just bubbles. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate. Moderate sweet, roasty flavors, light bitterness, some sour notes, don’t feel too much lactose, smooth with dry finish. Not appealing look, slightly over-carbonated but still a decent stout.
