COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our version of a milk stout, originally named Fresh Powder Milk Stout. A milk stout is simply a stout brewed with an addition of Lactose, a non-fermentable milk sugar, used to create sweetness and a fuller body and mouthfeel in the beer. This is the sweetest stout that we brew, not only because of the addition of lactose, but because of the low hop bitterness, and higher residual sugar content. It is very full bodied beer, often perceived as thick and creamy.

I would not know this was a milk stout if it weren’t right there in the name. It was thin, watery, and a bit dry - not the thicker, creamier, sweeter beer I was expecting.

At a tasting, thanks tom, small bubbly head, opaque black colour, quite light aroma of coffee and and cocoa, aroma of mud and charred wood, quite sour, light bitterness. Not good and nothing like a milk stout.

Bottle at America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown, with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, roast and coffee beans. Sourish flavour of stale coffee beans, with notes of malt and subtle hints of old liquorice. Lingering, sour aftertaste. Off? Well...

12oz bottle, black pour, i inch tan head. Slight aroma is coffee and roast. First sip was great, roasted hop malt with a little bit, but the rest of the drink seemed to lack this flavor. Taste is bittersweet. Medium bodied with a thin texture. Not heavy in sweetness, thin feel for a stout, wasn’t getting the full body thick and creamy as I was hoping. But still, a good tasting beer I enjoyed. I’m glad my buddy cheap enjoyed this one, as he says "nothing rude" in this one.

Big thanks to nike for this special brew. Big black and dark, I want to give this a 5 for looks out of the bottle but its not perfect; maybe 4.5 ! First taste is very behaved. Dark and roasty without strong beer alky getting in yer face. Yes, does not seem to approach 5%. Some ever so slight tart licorice or well done coffee in thar. Decent round the campfire aroma. Quite good overall cheeeodo beer drinking experience!

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Very dark brown, opaque, with a decent beige head and small bubbles. Roasty aroma, with some fresh yogurt, dark chocolate and coffee. Roasted malt flavor, light tartness, faint cream and medium bitterness. Quite light and dry, lactose is present only somewhat in the aftertaste. OK.
