Mar 8, 2005 On tap at brewpub. Late piney hops in the smaroma. Sweet, sugary malts to start with perhaps some orange citrus notes as well. Mildly hazy amber color with a light tan head that is frothy with very nice lacing. Pretty. Start is mildly sweet with some roasted caramel notes turning into a slight grapefruit bitterness. At first sniff, I thought there were going to be some PNW hops in this, but I am incorrect. A little thin and watery for my liking, but this is still decent.
