On draft, poured a amber brown color with aromas of sweet malt, dark fruit, and a touch of oak. Flavors of some cherry, caramel, oak, and sweet malt. Surprising brew overall.

What a pleasant surprise. Asia is cherry, oak and some sweetness. A but thick in body, but with enough carbonation to offset. Flavor reminds me a lot of a Belgian dubbel. I liked this a lot.

Draft @ Cask Republic, New Haven. Dark ruby with a off-white head. One-of-a-kind beer with most of its flavor from itís hops, but notes of clove, spice, opium.

12-oz bottle from Route 59 Beverage. Poured into trappist glass. Deep, deep amber/red pour with thin, even, khaki head which recedes 80% and then stays. Aroma is malt-forward with some red fruit. Palate is much the same, but has a slight hop profile to balance it out. Really rich, a little wheaty and musty, good hints of dark prunes/cherries, and a touch of roast.

Appearance: Vert dark brown color. You can see light through it but it may be the darkest brown beer I have seen. Smell: Sweet somewhat fruity smell. Taste: Very smooth and drinkable. Iím imprerssed, a received a mixed 12 pack as a gift. Mouthfeel: A little on the heavy side, but it is very drinkable. Overall: I would buy this agian, good during the winter months up north. This was 2nd beer I tried in mixed 12 pack, the best so far and my guess the best in the pack.

Nice looking brown with good head. Super deep malty aroma with clean bright hop accents. Fruity esters, moderately sweet. Very nice full mouthfeel and soft carbonation. It has clear hallmarks of a belgian strong ale with very nice individual aspects. But those dont all come togther quite.

Pours a slightly cloudy dark brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily. Short stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt plus some touches of dark fruit. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, roasted nuts and dark fruit. The finish is sweet and roasty with a malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

A good brew to be certain. A bit thin and light for the style I think. A nice offering but I would prefer something a bit more complex as a flagship brew.

12oz bottle, unknown date. Served at around 45F.

Pours dark reddish brown with a large creamy light brown head that leaves clumpy lacing and holds a thick cap.

Aroma is cherries, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, some grassy and floral hops. Good to very good strength.

Flavor is cherries, toasted malt, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, some other dark fruit, some sweetness, mild hop bitterness on the finish with only a hint of alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied, somewhat creamy, a little sticky, good carbonation.

Very tasty English Strong Ale...kind of has some Belgian Strong Ale qualities going on as well.
