Our flagship beer, this English Strong Ale has developed an almost cult-like following in the Adirondacks and greater Northeast. Deep garnet red in color, Ubu weighs in at 7% alcohol by volume (ABV) but is known for its fantastic taste. Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. Ok beer. Rather boring. Had a nice dark malt flavor to it. Finished a little on the bitter side.

A tasty English strong. Spicy on the palate the beer was smooth throughout the drink. I can see where people really dig this beer.

Dark brown with reddish/amber hues and a small tan head that quickly dissipates. Faint aroma of roasted malt. Medium bodied with good mix of chocolate and roasted malt nuttiness. Underlying hop flavors are also apparent. This one was a nice surprise.

Poured dark amber color with fluffy head. Spiced hop flavor, good beer for cold winter weather. According to the placard at the bar where I sampled Ubu, Bubba Clinton likes this beer.

Pours with a five+ finger light tan head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Cloudy amber color. Light carbonation. Nose is faintly malty. Medium bodied. Starts and finishes with a balance of malt and hops, the high ABV is not noticable. $1.85 for a 12oz bottle from Hoosick Street Discount Bev. Troy, NY.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a small white film of a head. Aroma is sweetly malty with notes of burnt brown sugar. Flavour is vaguely belgian with sweet malt and esters. perplexing dry bitterness in the finish is distractingly alcoholic. Pleasant fruity notes throughout, average palate. Interesting.

Pours to a very dark brown color and has an extremley hoppy smell. Poured to a medium brownish head and stayed for the entire driniking of the beer. A very smooth taste when first drinking but the aftertatse is of extreme bitterness. It was fairly heavy but very drinkable. I enjoyed it thouroughly.
