Aroma of fruit, caramel and nuts upon pour. Nice smooth drink with a little bit of a sour finish. Good beer overall!

Draft. Pours dark mahogany with a smallish tan head. Aroma and flavor of roasted malt, some nuttiness, some dark fruit, a hint of tartness. Tasty and very drinkable. Alcohol is well hidden. Would definitely drink again.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small but thick head. The aroma is toasted malt with little hops. The flavor and aftertaste is slightly sour and thin. Ok overall

Almost cola colored beer with a sticky, rocky beige beer. Malty sweet nose with rome roasted grains. Sweet beer with white sugar and some caramel. A little tea and some toasted bread and roasted malt notes.

Pours a very deep red, almost brown. Head is non-existent. Notes of dark fruit, brown sugar and perhaps a little rum in the nose. I’m tasting a little roast that I did not pick up on in the nose. Also, this beer is not as sweet as I thought it was going to be. Ample carbonation. Actually, I’m now getting a lot of roast as it warms. This is much better than I thought it was going to be.

Draught from Dinosaur BBQ (Syracuse NY). Pours a dark brown color with minimal head. Aromas of caramel, malt and yeast. Taste of mild hops with a nutty aftertaste. A solid brew.

Draught, 7%. Weak roasted aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is roasted with some alcohol sourness. Not so malty or sweet. Vinous finish.

Dark pour with a nice tan head. Taste of dark fruits and mild roasted malt. A nice drink overall.

Beer of the month Club, pours brownish to opaque black with a decent creamy beige head, aroma of nuts, caramel, fruity sugars and dried fruits, flavor of nuts, caramel, dried fruits, smoked malt and cherries, medium to full bodied, very nice.

9/21/11. 12oz bottle. Dark brown, almost black pour, some ruby under the light, with a small tan head that fades fast and doesn’t lace at all. Big fruity aroma with dark fruits, molasses, and a bit of chocolate. Sweet flavor with a bit of tart fruits, roast, and earthiness. Not bad!
