Bottle. Deep amber brown color with red tint. Foamy off-white head. Aroma was crisp hop, sweet and estery, and sugar malts. Flavor was bitter fruity hops, with kiwi and berry, mixed with bready wheat and brown sugar. Bitter finish.

Poured from a 12oz bottle a clear brown with a small tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, some caramel, and just a hint of hops. Flavor was a good roasted malt with a light hop bitterness in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Head seems to disappear too quickly for my liking but a fine brew besides this, great balance robust flavors. Taste of Carmel just the right blend of hops. BOM club selection the best of the 4 I have received this month.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A new beer to the S. Jersey market. Pours a deep red color with not much of a head. The hops mix nicely with the malt to give it an alluring aroma. The strong hop presence gives this beer a strong taste.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beer of the Month Club: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a russet-brown body, topped with a light tan head which mostly diminished. Sweet to the taste, but not cloying, with a quick bitter bite with minimal aftertaste. Aroma was a mild hops, not as malty as I though it should be, though not unpleasant. This is a very satisfying ale with a warm body and full taste. I will look for this beer again, and thank my Beer of the Month club for the sample.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours brownish with ruby hig lights. It has a tall dense head leaving fine sticky lacing.
Well carbonated too.
Aroma is strong of rich malts and some molasses.
There is also a toffee sweetness too.
Taste is of complex malts with good character.
Some roasted malts come through as well as wood and leather and a finish similar to licorise.
This beer has a medium feel with a bitter and slight alcohol warming.
I was pleasently surprized with this beer. I was expecting something like an amber ale, but this style took me back a bit.
