4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The Ubu is arguably Lake Placid’s finest offering. It’s quite dark and malty. The taste has a slight hint of smokiness and coffee like a porter, but retains the touch of bitterness that an ale of this nature should have. Finishes very crisply, refreshes the palate, the body, and the mind. A fine fine brew.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
out of bottle this was a dissappointment. Little malt flavor even when served
at correct temperature. Very thin. Dark red color not matched by depth of flavor.
On tap my recollections of this brew more positive.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dark brown color, with a reddish tint......almost completely opaque. Creamy head......somewhat of a roasted malt aroma. Malty taste up front......very crisp mouthfeel. Finishes with a slightly strong back and a bittersweet aftertaste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Dark ruddy brown thin head. Malty but a bit too bitter for my taste. Some bready and caramel notes. Ok but not amazing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Head seems to disappear too quickly for my liking but a fine brew besides this, great balance robust flavors. Taste of Carmel just the right blend of hops. BOM club selection the best of the 4 I have received this month.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 fl oz bottle empty a dark garnet color enlish style ale. Very thick and overbearing malt with some hops evening it out. A solid ale from this adirondack brewery.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Deep amber brown color with red tint. Foamy off-white head. Aroma was crisp hop, sweet and estery, and sugar malts. Flavor was bitter fruity hops, with kiwi and berry, mixed with bready wheat and brown sugar. Bitter finish.
