Our flagship beer, this English Strong Ale is available throughout the Adirondacks and greater Northeast. Deep garnet red in color, Ubu weighs in at 7% alcohol by volume (ABV) but is known for its fantastic taste. It features dark fruit and roasted malt flavors, with a slightly bitter finish. 43 SRM.

Deep dark and delicious. Easy drinking despite being dark and high in alcohol. Best on draft at the Pub!!

Probably one of my favorite beers. Pours a deep brown/red color, head dissipates rather quickly. Big malt aroma/flavor with a hint of caramel and a nicely balanced hoppy finish. Very smooth, easily drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2011 This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-brown color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was a lovely mix of sweet malts, chocolate and ripe fruit. The flavor was sweet and malty with a light roasty undertone and notes of chocolate brownies and ripe fruits. The mouthfeel was fairly thick and smooth. Very nice!

Aroma spirals out sticky and fluid of Caramel, molasses - slight alcohol hits you for this nicely balanced 7%’r. Pours Dark but a crisp amber / brown in color - with a slight tan head. Medium Bodied - Thinner texture with a lively carbonation leaves you with intricate malt overtones - to a sharp hoppy back end. Finishes a little grainy but full of complex flavor. Good suggestion Mr. Pres.

Appearance: Vert dark brown color. You can see light through it but it may be the darkest brown beer I have seen. Smell: Sweet somewhat fruity smell. Taste: Very smooth and drinkable. I’m imprerssed, a received a mixed 12 pack as a gift. Mouthfeel: A little on the heavy side, but it is very drinkable. Overall: I would buy this agian, good during the winter months up north. This was 2nd beer I tried in mixed 12 pack, the best so far and my guess the best in the pack.

Pours brownish with ruby hig lights. It has a tall dense head leaving fine sticky lacing. Well carbonated too. Aroma is strong of rich malts and some molasses. There is also a toffee sweetness too. Taste is of complex malts with good character. Some roasted malts come through as well as wood and leather and a finish similar to licorise. This beer has a medium feel with a bitter and slight alcohol warming. I was pleasently surprized with this beer. I was expecting something like an amber ale, but this style took me back a bit.

Pours deep brown with a fine white head. Aroma is caramel like with an oddly vegetable and hoppy flavor. Almost salty. Crazy.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color with a frothy head. The aroma was sugary malts, roasted nuts, and a touch of coffee. The flavor was bitter coffee, a touch of hops, and sweet toffee. Overall, sit UBU sit...good dog and a better beer.

Had at an awesome restaurant in the fingerlakes region of NY. Poured a real nice brown with thick layer of foamy tan head that lasts. Aroma is bit roasty, yet also sweet and molasesy. Flavor is really well balanced. Dark chocolate, tad bit of bitterness, some boozy sweet undertones, dry creaminess, and a real nice sweet finish. Overall, really liked this one.
