This beer goes down pretty smooth at 7% ABV. It has a good blend of malt and hops, with a nice finish.

Aah Lake Placid, home to the greatest American sports moment, which has nothing to do with this beer. Brown ale characteristics in aroma and taste, would not of guessed this at 7%. Substantial body, nice.

Almost red color with aromas of spicy, malt and smoke. Taste is mostly molasses, malt and hop bitterness. Vey smooth taste and a bitter dry finish.

Got this from Chazy, great. Poured dark reddish brown, with a good, creamy head. Taste was a little watery, but very drinkable. Maybe a session brew?

Aug 2005 - An okay beer...not what I was expecting. Didnít appear red like it said on the bottle. Poured and looked like a cola...dark brown with bubbly head which left as fast as it appeared. Taste sort of defied style...almost porter like. Tasted strong of roasted malt with a nice hoppy finish. A little thin. An ok beer.

Respectable. Small head, very dark. Hint of molasses and chocolate. Fullness in the mouthfeel. Very little hop flavor in this bottle at least. Not a lot of depth of flavor, but whatís there is executed pretty well. Smooth and drinkable.

Bottle, from Jon. Aroma of caramel malt, hops, baking soda. Initial flavor is malty sweet and woody, with caramel, brown sugar, and a touch of dark fruit. Finish is dry and a bit astringent, with stealthy bittering flavors creeping in. Maybe it was just me, but I could have sworn a slight metallic flavor lingering in the finish as well. Certainly not the rich finish I desired based on the initial (tasty) flavors. The mouthfeel of this brew is average, leaning a bit thin. So-so overall, but a nice story of a Labrador adds some character to this beer.

Tap at Barcade? I think. (Iím backlogged at the moment) Very deep brown with crimson in the light. The thin tan head stays around. Toasted malt aroma- a touch earthy with some tobacco and thin cocoa notes. Rounded carbonation- could be less fizzy. Dark toasted flavor. Malt forward with some husky bitterness and tobacco notes. Mildly hopped with residual toasted biscuity malt notes. Underwhelming.
