Pours a near black ruby red with a foamy head. Aroma of plum cherries and alcohol. Taste is dark and malty up front with a smokey bitterness in the finish notes of dark fruit come through. The mouthfeel reveals alcohol and a higher level of carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the brewpub. Dark reddish black color. First description: Wow. Full of licorice and brown sugar, with an almost corn syrupy backdrop. But itís thick like oil almost and definitely strong. (#5821, 10/10/2014)

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with red highlights and thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt nuts, burnt chocolate, and dark fruits. Has a bit of a metallic taste. Dark fruits and burnt everything. A touch of bitterness. Basement musk. Too light bodied for a strong ale. Was hoping for more everything and less burnt everything.
