Staying-power top-froth crema foam on rich gold bod. Malty, touch of Skittles candy mixed into a tiple-stack honey whole wheat sandwich. Body is active, finish mellowing to comatose. This would be a great, sweet vehicle for a fruit addition.

If I was in my Kayak speeding up and down the inland waters of the Great Upper Peninsula I can assure you the ballast I would recommend is Blatz. This stuff I would use to wash the Kayak after it became infested with zebra Mussels. Or not. Either way, you cannot go wrong with Blatz. So that’s what is, what was, and what will be........trust me, I’ve been to Milwaukee.

2.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler purchased at the brewery. Aroma was spunky, but that didn’t come through in the taste. Almost no head. Darker straw in color which seemed to be darker than the style. Good taste, would be great on a warm day. Having this before in bottle was much better than the growler.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Non-objectionable, nice ale, but not bitter at all. Good taste. Kolsch is a bit too mild for my taste.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer has a golden orange appearance. Its aroma has some grassy malt; not much hops. The taste is balanced. It’s not a terribly complex beer, but it’s still good!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head. Citrusy on the nose. Smooth and sweet mouthfeel. A tad of bitterness on the swallow but pleasant. Don’t know a lot about the style but was light, refreshing and would be a good summer beer on a hot afternoon.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale gold with almost no head. Aroma of corn and grains with some cotton candy. Taste is light sweet. Belgiany banana notes to start with corn and grains throughout the rest. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish at all. Meh, drinkable but nothing to seek out.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Light gold color And small sweet aroma. Light flavor pretty sweet and slightly syrupy with some honey taste. I wanted more body more bite unless sweetness.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap - average size foamy head, medium clear gold color, kind of a funky skunky aroma, flavor is a little better but not much, sweet malt, kind of creamy, kind of skunky - not a very good kolsh at all

Nothing special here. Some sweet malts. Finish is just to thin and watery for me
