3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled sample. Near black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of chocolate covered raisins and a bit of caramel. Flavours are of dark chocolate, coffee, chalky + other minerals, mild smoke and even fainter sweetness. Medium bodied. Simplistic aroma, but loads of character, complexity, and balance in the mouth. Good stuff.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an opaque nutty/chocolate brown with very little head, just a tiny bit of tan froth. Aroma is light, notes of nuts. Flavor is earthy with notes of grassy hops, toasted malts and mild cocoa notes, definitely nutty tones.

Another fun regional bottle from a coworker, thanks Mitch! - Pours thin and dk dk brown with a medium tan head....aroma is full of roasted oats and grain, dry cocoa and slight day old coffee...flavour is similar, lightly astringent, burnt wood and burnt coffee, not bitter burnt, just kinda charred...finish had a nice grittiness to it...

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small short lived fizzy light brown head. The nose is deeply roasty with some oats and black strap molasses. Thereís a bit of a metallic note as well. The flavor is a balance between the roast and a weird burnt rubber taste. Some earthiness, oats, and sweet burnt caramel. Mouthfeel is a bit flat with some light clinginess and light fizzy carbonation. The finish is especially watery and thin. Not the most well made beer. That burnt rubber quality really bothered me the whole time.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Pours a dark brown color with a thin beige head. Nose is mostly roast at first, but becomes a rich and sweet chocolatey melody. The taste beckons back to the heavy roast of the aroma with a little charred wood, light oat presence, and some bittersweet chocolate. Medium bodied and increases itís charm as the glass warms.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
pours typical stout brown black, smallish head very little lacing. Flavor is mostly of slightly blackened malts with lite but noticeable hops. Otherwise its sharp cheese, a little coffee, burnt nut and some creaminess. mouthfeel is moderate with a fairly clean finish. Overall for an oatmeal stout its OK.
