Black with very small head. Caramel aroma with a hint of apple. Thin and roast flavour. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was quite disappointed.

Thanks to slikwily for this brew. Pours jet black with some mahagony hints near the glass edge and sports an averaged sized light brown creamy head. Some spotty lacing. Aroma is mixture of dark roasted coffee and chocolate with malt and a hop nose. Initial flavor is warm dark roasted coffee with a slighlty burnt maltiness. The flavor finishes hoppy and dry. Dark and full-bodied palate.

This beer rocks! Pitch black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good retention with thick, creamy lace. The nose is of chocolate and vanilla. The well-balanced flavor mirrors the nose with some toasted pecans thrown in. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, sweet, toasted finish. Underrated. World class brew, IMHO!

Bottle @ Greg’s house picked up in the Midwest. Pours a deep brown black appearance with a light brown head. Cookie, caramel, chocolate, butterscotch aroma. A little buttery, almond, somewhat roasty, chocolates caramel flavor. Didn’t like this one so much.
