(bottle) Pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has papery hops, light must, banana, cracked pepper, dusty yeast, bread, and some strong orange scents as well. Really unique for a pale ale, and to me it smells more like a tripel. It’s also unique in that sometimes it smells great, and upon other sniffs it smells off. Taste also shares some similarities with a tripel, as it’s quite spicy and full of orange zest, grapefruit pith, light banana, and ends with a fair dose of dry bread. A pretty good, but also really weird Pale Ale/Tripel something or another.

Thanks to Armin for the bottle. Aroma of sweet malts and aged hops. Flavor is more of the aged hops, sweet with a slight bitterness.

Pours orange with white head, aroma is piny hops. Taste up front is some pine and resiny hops, leading into a bready malt middle with a fairly dry and slightly bitter finish. Pretty average APA.

Bottle. Pour was medium golden with a fluffy white head and some citrus hop character in the nose. Flavor was definitely cascade hops with citrus and some spice along with a good amount of a clean malt background. Nice balance. Good Brew.

Bottle: A mountain of fluffy sand colored head sits atop a hazy brownish-copper color. Smells of citrus and grapefruit with light piney bits. Overall a nice aroma; smells hoppy, sweet, and potent. What follows is a mellow, yet rich flavor of fruity and floral hops accented with a light maltiness. The balance is outstanding. Nothing over the top here, just a good solid brew. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle Courtesy of Mother in Law. Has a yeasty and dirty dish rag aroma. Orange body with dirty white head. Good citrus hop bittering but the english style part of beer took away the cool and crisp palate thing from the PNW hop brews. Good beer liked it.

[Tap] Pours a hazy dark gold/amber color with plenty of dense white head and great lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and biscuit. Taste is pretty similar, with a decent pine and lemon backbone. There are plenty of bready and caramel malts in here to provide a very good balance. A solid beer from Lake Superior Brewing Co.!!

16 oz draft pour at Grandmas in Duluth, Minnesota. Pour is slight haze golden orange yellow with a two inch off white head. Falls with thick lacing covering the entire glass. Aroma is a nice blend of floral mild fruit hops and soft bready caramel malt. Neither was terribly strong, just clean and nicely integrated. Taste is the nose, nice balance between floral hops and caramel bready malts. The taste picks up some mineral that edged towards dirty, detracting a bit. Palate is medium to light bodied, with a nice carbonation level and a clean quick bitter finish. Too bad I was driving back to Minneapolis that night, I could have had a couple more.

Draft. Poured a clear medium orange color with an off white head. Smelled of flowery hops and subdued caramel. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet. I tasted grass, flowery hops, and subdued caramel.
