The second volume of our Anniversary Series is this Belgian-style apricot ale. Pours a golden-orange color from the apricot purée with a fine, off-white head. The apricot-forward nose, followed by spice and malt, gives way to mild pear and melon esters followed by a biscuity malt aroma. The fruit melds well with the malty sweetness, like apricot preserves on a fresh baked biscuit, while earthy and spicy U.S. Saaz hops balance the sweet entry. Apricot, malt, and spicy hop flavors all linger, a refreshing crowd pleaser on a summer day.

This fruit-infused Belgian begs to be paired with a turkey leg with an apricot glaze, grilled chicken topped with apricot or peach relish, or a tempeh wrap with apricot chutney. Also try it with a wedge of earthy and nutty gruyere.

Bottle. Some very subtle fruit notes in the aroma, but mostly sweetness. Taste is a bit subdued, coming across like a basic pale ale. (from notes)

Bottle poured a cloudy apricot with a lasting amber head. Aromas of straw, apricot and yeast. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, apricot and yeast with a smooth lingering yeasty apricot finish.

From a bottle. Pours very cloudy orange copper with a thin fizzy white head. Tastes sweet and slightly dry, fruity, like apricots, apples, grapefruit. Light body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like dough, light spice, dried apricots.

Big fan of this brewery, but not impressed with this 25th Anniversary Series brew. The apricot flavor is very strong and thick on the palate. Just not very enjoyable. Disappointed that this is what I chose to toast 12/5, Repeal of Prohibition Day.

Nice floral fruity aroma. The flavor has a bit of the Belgian spice and a nice sour fruity bit of apricot. Nicely balanced between the sweet, sour and bitterness. The finish is dry and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle into a snifter leaving no beer but a sediment coated bottom. Date stamped bottled on 13 June 2013. A - Cloudy orange apricot color with a small and weak white head. Very little lacing to be seen. S - Apricots (not fresh but not artificial); Belgian yeast; alcohol esters; tropical fruits. T: tart-sweet-juicy fruit flavor from the arpicot puree and the Belgian yeast. Lightly tart and sweet taste. Bold flavor. M - Medium carbonation and a medium body with a juicy mouthfeel. O: Mpre Belgian character than expected; not that they over did the Belgian yeast but they didn’t hold back either. Bold, juicy and fruity with very good bitter-sweet-tart balance. Worth seeking out. Happy Anniversary LFB!

12oz bottle. Murky, unfiltered orange-tan. Thin, fading whitish head. The aroma is full of apricot, not so far off really bad, infected beer. Tons of pungent apricot tones, but really not an enjoyable beer. Too big and sugary to be refreshing and sessionable, not enough depth to be any enjoyable slow sipper. Pretty unimpressive, suspect offering. If you ever try the off-flavor test kit, this one tastes like "garbage".

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount Liquors. Orange and cloudy with minimal head and no lacing. The aroma is apricot, spice, yeast, bread and more fruit. Similar flavor, kind of tangy, lightly tart with mild sweetness and a medium body.
