Orangish color with a diminished taupe head. Banana bread to fruit cake aromas. Fruit, nut and spices all work their way around. Sweet start with vanilla and pie crust coming to mind. I’m not catching much brandy, but I am catching Tuaca. Too sweet, a desert type brew. I’ll set a few away, but I think these might just end up to be sugar bombs. 9/13

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of brandy, caramel, spice and malt. Malty flavor with pumpkin and brown sugar before a sweet and boozy finish.

Pour out of bottle, slightly hazy orange-red pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big brandy, oak, sweet sugary notes into a bit of pumpkin, caramel, toffee, slight vanilla, hints of cinnamon and ginger as well. Taste was a mix of oak, caramel, vanilla, toffee into a bit of brandy, slight pumpkin into cinnamon, finishing sweet, slightly spicy.

I picked up a 4-pack at the local store never having heard of it. It was delicious - heavy on the brandy barrel flavor, but good. Went back a few days later and there was no more. A week later I returned and there was plenty more, so again I only got a 4-pack. And next time I returned it was gone again. Sure it was a seasonal, but I don’t know, seems like beers follow more predictable patterns on shelves. For a beer that no one ever mentions, it sure was tasty. And looks like I wasn’t the only one who thought so.

Draft. Pours orange amber with a thin head. Pumpkin spices, vanilla, caramel candies, and brandy/boozy sweetness. Pretty good.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2015 A pretty huge surprise from a brewer I’m not crazy about. Nice balance of malt, spice, vanilla and brandy. Looked like a fizzy yellow beer, but went down smooth and tasted great.

Unique offering. Pour is amber with little to no head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, apple brandy, and vanilla. Similar flavor profiles with a little kick. Pretty decent, although scores suffer a bit in appearance and palate.

Sampled at GTMW 2013, picked up four pack at brewery and a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a semi clear orange amber colored brew with a quick dissipating beige head that leaves behind some film top and minimal lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, brandy grapes and floral hops. Taste is full bodied, brandy and heavy caramel with some light cinnamon and vanilla. Finish is semi-sweet with a lingering pumpkin vanilla and brandy flavor. Allow one year of aging and the palate really smooths out.

Poured a hazy copper orange color with a small light tan head that settles to a ring with little lacing. Aroma of pumpkin bread with caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of brandy. Taste is sweet but not cloying with caramel and vanilla followed by nutmeg and all spice. Cinnamon creeps in along with some mild brandy booziness and some woody character. Finishes semi sweet with some alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel is somewhat slick with a medium body and low carbonation. Flavors blend well but would be best with food because of the sweetness. Would pair nicely with pecan pie.

Bottle:   A fairly spicy example, a little alcohol, with some definite aspects of vanilla and brandy.   Fairly sweet but not cloying.   Very interesting beer, wished I had more than 12oz actually.   Goes down easy, if you like spices.   Body and mouthfeel are fairly full bodied.   Has that fullness, chewy caramel and brandy bits.   Warming spicy finish.   This was also rather tasty!   Thanks Bob!
