Smooth taste of caramel, toasted malts and a touch of smoke. Not a bad brew but nothing spectacular. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2008 From bottle : Pours a clear dark copper color, with a small white head that dies down quickly. Somewhat carbonated. Nose is nuts, caramel, and malt. Taste hits you with some nut meg, then some malts round it out, aftertaste is malty as well. Medium body that feels pretty smooth on the palate. Pretty good beer for the style, i like it. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Jan 10, 2008 Clear amber color with good carbonation and smallish white head. Aroma is nutty, earthy and some caramel. Flavor is nutty and sweet but with good bitterness to balance it out. Small to medium bodied, long bitter sensation on the tougue at finish. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 12 oz bottle thanks to Secret Santa. Malty nose off this copper colored beer with a smallish dissapating head. Flavor was malty and nutty. Decent hopping on the finish too. Pretty good for a style that is not my favorite. JK (2943), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Dec 10, 2007 Some nutmeg in the nose and flavor. Good malt flavor, and full bodied. Light brown color. A good beer, like most of Lakefront’s products, though not exceptional. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Dec 6, 2007 Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Hazy gold color with a medium head. Malty aroma with a little marshmallow-like sweetness. Floral hop taste. Very light malt. This seemed pretty plain, but certainly not offensive.
