| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Poured a dark orange to brown color, somewhat hazy, very nice head. Lacing wasn’t that good, though. The aroma was of caramel malts, as expected. The flavor was of caramel malts, but somewhat sour, much like the Riverwest Stein Beer. It’s just off. These were two beers I was expecting more of after grabbing down in Pensacola. Flavor was somewhat weak overall and the mouthfeel was very light for a bock. A bock? Please, not it’s not. Not this bottle anyway. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Flavor a mite overly fruity, pruny and such, really quite sweet. Hint of roastiness there, some molasses. Decent hop bite at the end. A decent effort. steve23mj (273), Essexville, Michigan, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2006 Dark reddish brown in color, with a trace of tan head. Very nice roasted malt nose. Very smooth, very roasted flavor, with hints of chocolate and cherry. I liked this offering most of all of the Lakefront brews I’ve tasted. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Aroma was of caramel malts. Flavor was the same but had the same sour taste the other lakefront had. Thin mouthfeel. Not good" TerryR (383), Oswego, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Dark copper body that is almost roby colored. The head wet away very quickly and was a light yellow and brown color. The aroma is sweet with honey and pears. There is also a note of some grass and carrots. The taste has sweet caramel and some carrots. There is a note of woody dryness. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but typical for the style. An interesting bock.
