3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 16, 2002
Bottled January, week 3. Clear dark copper. Thin big bubbled off white edge head. Very light carbonation. Light aroma of dark and rich malts, some molasses and hints of toast. Initially tangy and yeasty with a thick body, lightly sweet yet sharp and firm. Body is there, and quite hefty in fact, but the malt definition is lacking and is overshadowed by the funky tangy taste. Malt flavor is lightly roasted and sweet with a floral/spicy hop balance. Finishes with a thick body, there all the way through, and a slight cherry fruitiness and lighter tanginess. A respectably thick, but thinnishly flavored, Bock.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Syd (920) - Waconia, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2004
Bottle pours a deep amber clear with a tan head. The aroma is slightly hop and mostly caramel. The flavor is big caramel with some hop. The palate is medium rich for the style. Overall, not bad.

Poured from bottle. Faint aroma of bourbon and vanilla ice cream. Looks like root beer soda, head runs away fast. Flavors of toasted malt, molasses with hints of banana, oak, smoke and bourbon. Could use more carbonation. Good stuff - could be great with some tweaking.

A lighter Bock beer, but still tasty. Ihave wanted to try this one for a while now, and was happy to see they had it at the Brewery today when I went there.

Cloudy dark amber with a medium frothy head. Toasted malts, caramel, and bread. Toasty flavor as well, with some nuttiness, sweet bread, and a crisp, balanced finish. Very full body with soft carbonation. Very well done.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jbuzz (720) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 12, 2009
I found this somewhat of a let down. Nice taste up fron but it had a metalic after taste and not much Fullness of the malts.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 noncaloric (684) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 8, 2009
Hazy amber-orange pour, short-lived off-white head fading to a ring, minimal lace. Very modest aroma, faint floral sweetness. Flavor, on the other hand, is full bodied in its malt complexity, caramel, bread crusts apple cider, a hint of tea. Flavorful, nothing off, but the fruity and bready clash slightly here. Medium to full body, lively sparkle on the palate, slightly dry linger.
