COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pure Milwaukee Genius Series 1: Made with three styles of fresh American hops and fruity ale yeast that requires greater fermentation, it finishes with a dark amber appearance, spicy hop flavor and bold, malty backbone. The punch this potent brew packs reminds us all that when you want to make a point, you’re better off making a statement.

I thought this was a pretty pleasant APA/type beer when I sampled it last week. It didn’t blow my mind, but it struck me as being assertively hoppy and well balanced. I’d happily have it again. It poured a dark amber color with abundant cumulus-like head. Aroma was pine-y and vaguely pineapple-y, with some astringent kick to it. Flavor was surprisingly malty for a beer of this type; the hoppiness was there but more in the background. I actually thought it could’ve used more hoppiness, but the flavor was by no means unpleasant. Mouthfeel was full without being cloyingly sticky. All in all a very nice brew, which I would recommend, but I think it falls a bit short of best in class in the American Strong Ale category. Still, I’ll buy it again..besides which it struck me as a bargain compared to what other comparable beers are going for these days. I bought this 22oz bomber at 3 Cellars in Franklin, WI.

I tried this on while on the Lakefront tour, and if nothing else had come out of that tour than the glass of amber, amber brew with a citrusy/ pine nose, it would have been well worth it. The palate was interesting. Toffee dancing with pine, cinnamon and cardamom against a fantastically yeasty base and lovely, fruity hops. The only negative on this beer? Too smooth, masking the alcohol. I did NOT drive home. :)

There is a lot of flaws in this beer, its mouth feel feels thinner than it should. The malts and hops are their and very potent yet an off-flavor that is hard to ignore, still worth your time.

The folks at Lakefront have really outdone themselves with this one. Pours amber with a light white head, hoppy with spices and maybe some vanilla. Caramel malt aroma giving a sweet sugary mouthfeel. Well balanced with the hop and yeast.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with a large long lasting off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, a good dose of pine and citrus hops, and a hint of dark fruit. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate to strong amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. A big suprise from one of my least favorite breweries. A damn fine brew.

Bomber. Deep ruddy copper with a frothy almond colored head, leaving striped lacing. Orangey hop aroma with fruity notes--like cherry or fresh fig. Toffee malt flavor, but not too sweet. Citrusy and earthy hops in the balance. Kind of a waxy taste as well. Medium to full bodied. Pretty good, but no aspects which leave a lasting impression.

Pours a transparent dark copper with a good, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of big, fresh piny resiny hops and caramel maltiness. Body starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramely malt with a touch of light fruits and resiny bittering and flavor hops. Nicely balanced and quite drinkable.

Dark copper color. Smell of pine, hops, caramel, grass, flowers, root beer, citrus, bread, pepper and malt. Tastes the same. I think this is a solid brew and one of my new favorites from Lakefront! Great job!

Spectacular ,grain earthy hop aroma, unlike anything that Lakefront has done with a hop emphasis, one of the best hop aromas that didn’t have citrus and pine dominance, intriguing dark amber copper color, that you wouldn’t suspect to be pumping out all this hop fragrance, taste is also dominated by rich hop flavors small hints of sweet malt balance and a slight red fruitiness lurk in the shadows, but this is all about that dead nuts hopping. Someone really nailed it. I t breaks down a little to quickly for a strong ale, could be beefed up with just a little more body ,but I believe this would get my vote for the best Lakefront brew ever. The team that made this should tackle the long awaited Imperial IPA

Really nice APA tasting beer. Very piney hop notes in aroma and taste. Thick mouthfeel. Some citrus hints in the back of the swallow. Probably not sessionable due to ABV. Still, other raters are correct in saying Bridge Burner hides its alcohol well.
